All cars must enter the campus by using the entrance next to Parents' Day Out Building on Charles Bryan Road. Cars may not enter the parking lot from Altruria Road from 7:30-8:30.
Pre-k 3 and Pre-k 4:
Parents will park in designated parking spots outside the playground, near the Alturia exit. Parents will then walk their child to the school doors located inside the playground area and sign them in on the appropriate sign-in book. Tennessee state law requires parents of preschool students to sign their child in and out.
Kinder through 8th grade:
Cars are to form a single line and proceed through the circular drive to the main entry point in front of the school doors. Students are to exit only from the RIGHT SIDE of the car and walk only on the sidewalk to the school entrance. Students may enter the building using the main school doors. After dropping students off, cars may carefully pull into the left lane to exit onto Altruria Road.
The school doors will be locked at 8:00 am. Students who arrive after 8:00 am must have a parent/guardian park and walk them into the building to sign them in to school.
AFTERNOON DISMISSAL
(SIBLINGS AND CARPOOLS FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE FOR THE YOUNGEST CHILD FOR KINDER THROUGH 8TH GRADE. PRESCHOOL MUST BE SIGNED OUT AT THE PLAYGROUND FIRST THEN GET IN CARLINE FOR THE REST OF YOUR STUDENTS) The safety of our children has to be the main priority in our dismissal procedures. Other factors, such as time spent in line, ease and convenience for those picking up students, and following the Bartlett traffic regulations have all been carefully considered when developing the dismissal plan. In order to make the plan work as smoothly as possible, everyone must follow the following procedures:
Pre-Kindergarten STUDENTS:
PK students are dismissed at 2:50pm for the general dismissal. PK teachers will walk the students to the playground gate. Students will stand in the courtyard garden area to await pick-up. On rainy days, PK students will be in the hallway by the by the playground exit. Parents are to park in the parking area by the playground and walk to the doors. Cars should exit onto Alturia. If you have other students, please loop around and follow the pick-up instructions for the youngest child.
All cars must enter the campus from Charles Bryant Rd. There will be three entry points. Entry from Altruria from 2:30-3:30 pm will not be allowed.
A. Entry point number one:
The first right (Church Parking Lot, closest to Stage Rd.) will be for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade.
Enter from Charles Bryant, and pick up at the bell tower and exit Stage Road.
B. Entry point number two:
The second right (School Parking Lot, near PDO building) will be for PK, K, 1st, and 6th
Enter from Charles Bryant, stay to the right and stop at your child's location. It is important you stay to the right and leave the left lane clear for passing. We need other parents to be able to go around to their pick up location.
• Kinder, 1st, and 6th will be picked up at the main school door closest to the office.
C. Entry point number three:
5th, 7th, and 8th will be picked up from the center island in the parking lot. Please follow the “Snake” through the parking lot and leave the end of the rows clear for other parents to pass.
On rainy days, all students in grades K-8 will be dismissed from the circle drive by the youth gym.
Cars may not enter the parking lot from Alturia Road from 2:30-3:30.
In case of tornado or severe thunderstorm warnings, students will not be dismissed. Parents may seek shelter in the school until conditions subside. Once conditions subside, rainy day dismissal procedures will be followed.
